A B O U T   U S

 

Real Food at NU (NURF) is a student organization working to build a socially just and environmentally sustainable food system at Northwestern University! As part of a larger national campaign known as the Real Food Challenge, we work with NU dining halls to bring more Real Food to campus and support inclusive dialogue in the NU community about our food system and food-related issues.

M I S S I O N

 

The mission of Real Food at NU is to lead a movement that engages administrators, faculty, staff, workers, producers and community members to enact a shift to a community-based food system built on fair labor practices, sustainability and respect for all life. We aim to get at least 20% Real Food- food that is sustainable, just, humane, or local- into our dining halls by 2020.
